Teaching steps:
Step1. Warm-up/ Revision
1.     Greetings.
2.     Revise the letters. Say the letters from A to Z.
3.     Action: B. Let’s talk.
4.     Section A. Let’s do.
Step2. Presentation
1.     Stick the word cards on the Bb and read them. “big, small, long, short.” Then say the words 

like this: big- small. short- tall/ long.
2.     Show the pictures to teach “ giraffe, deer.”
3.     Listen to the tape and say the words.
Step3. Practice
1.     Game: Who is faster? See the words for one second. Then read it out aloud.
2.     Put on the animal headgears and sing the song. “ They are in the zoo.”
Step4. Add activities
1.     Listen to the tape and spell the new words.
2.     Sing the song to your parents. 
  
 The sixth period
Teaching topic: Section B Let’s say. Let’s chant.
Teaching aims: 1. The pupils can read and say the new letters: A.M.(a.m.), P.M.(p.m.), TV, CD, VCD. And the pupils know the meanings of theirs.
